Meetcatcher

How do Meetcatcher credits work?

Credits are Meetcatcher's currency. Whoever sends an invitation pays credits only if the call takes place, and the invited person earns credits for their time.

Credits put a value on both sides' time. The organiser invests credits in a meeting they chose, which encourages thoughtful invitations rather than mass outreach. The invitee is rewarded for showing up, so they have a reason to accept and attend. Nobody on the call is doing the other a favour.

When you send an invitation, the credits are only reserved. They are charged once the call actually happens, and at that moment the other person receives their reward. If the invitation is declined, or not answered within 14 days, the reservation is released and the credits return to your balance, as explained in what happens when nobody confirms. If the other person does not turn up, you pay nothing.

The cost of a call is not the same for everyone. It depends on the reputation of the person you invite: people with strong ratings cost a little more, but they tend to be more reliable and their calls more useful. Credits do not expire, so there is no pressure to spend them quickly.

Ways to get and use credits

  • Starter creditsNew accounts receive credits to begin with, so you can send your first invitations straight away.
  • Earn by acceptingAccept invitations and attend the calls to earn credits; used this way, Meetcatcher can be completely free.
  • Buy when in a hurryBuy a credit package to start inviting immediately. Larger packages are better value.
  • Cancel early, not lateCancelling more than 12 hours ahead costs less than a last-minute cancellation, and missing a call costs most. The cancellation rules give the details.

In practice: invite people you genuinely want to meet, keep several free slots in your calendar and accept invitations that suit you, and your balance looks after itself. The rules exist to make calls happen; compare them with a normal no-show rate for B2B meetings.
