Meetcatcher

What happens if you cancel or miss a Meetcatcher call?

Cancelling more than 12 hours before a call costs part of your credits, cancelling later costs more and not showing up costs most. The other person loses nothing.

Every confirmed call on Meetcatcher means someone blocked time for you, so the rules are designed to make calls happen. Either side can cancel, but whoever cancels gives up part of their credits, and the share depends on how much notice they give. The person who was cancelled on keeps everything.

The current rules are set out in the guide to cancelling calls. An organiser who cancels more than 12 hours ahead gets 50% of the credits back, and 10% when cancelling later. An invitee who cancels gives up 10% of the expected reward with more than 12 hours' notice and 50% within the last 12 hours.

Not turning up is treated more strictly than cancelling: a no-show loses 10% of all the credits they hold, and their reputation drops. If you are the organiser and the other person does not come, you pay nothing for the call. When neither side joins within 20 minutes, the meeting closes automatically and counts as a no-show for both.

What to do instead of missing a call

  • Cancel as early as you canMore than 12 hours' notice always costs less than a late cancellation, and far less than a no-show.
  • Rebook instead of movingCalls cannot be moved. Cancel the slot and propose a new time, ideally with a short apology.
  • Offer slots you can keepMore free slots raise acceptance, as explained in how to increase your B2B meetings, but only if you can really attend them.
  • Protect your ratingFrequent cancellations and no-shows lower your reputation, which affects how readily your future invitations are accepted.

These rules are why accepted calls on Meetcatcher usually take place. Elsewhere, 10–20% of booked B2B sales meetings end in a no-show. See also how Meetcatcher credits work for reservations and refunds when an invitation is declined.
